Me!

Hi guys! Hope everyone is having an Amazing new year so far! So I wanted to share a little more insight with you about who I am and all that I do. Ok, where to begin...

I am a small town girl with a love for the city! After graduating from Texas State University with a business degree, I moved directly to Austin where I enrolled in cosmetology school and started class 10 days later. After another full year of school, I finally graduated from hair school and obtained my cosmetology license. That was one of the most exciting days of my life, it was my 25th birthday and I was finally done with school!!! Time to join the 'real world'. Uh oh! Was I really ready for that!?!

Well, it's been 2 1/2 years now and I'm still asking myself that same question. Although it's been quite the journey that I've embarked on, I'm finally getting excited about my life! I'm in position and doing what I love, photography and hair.

Growing up, I was always fascinated with playing with hair and nails. As a little girl,  I remember putting scotch tape on my fingernails and then cutting the edges so that they were rounded off and finally applying elmer's glue in hopes of making my own fake fingernails. Needless to say it never worked.

I was also the one at summer camp who learned to french braid my first summer away from home and then insisted on practicing on all the girls hair until I perfected my skills. So I guess you could say I was destined to end up in the beauty industry. I am currently a stylist here in Austin and you can acquire my contact information through www.stylistassistant.com if you enter my name, 'Stacey' in the search field.

My other passion is photography and I have my talented sister to thank for that. My sister Jennifer, of Jennifer Lynn Photography, has truly inspired and motivated me to become more serious about pursuing a second career in photography. She has taken me under her wing and become my mentor for all things photography! We thoroughly enjoy going out and shooting events together or messing around and doing shoots with one another. Today was no exception.

We packed up the car and headed to downtown Austin to dabble in a little of the local scenery and I was Jen's subject/model for the day. It was a beautiful day to be out and about and we were blessed with a few moments of sunlight here and there throughout the day. Here are some of our photos from this beautiful Saturday afternoon in Austin.  I am excited to share some of Jen's work with you. Enjoy!

Please feel free to contact me for your photography needs @ Stacey.Glynn@gmail.com
